2024 REFLECTION

Growing the Facilities

At Evolution, we strive to stay true to our name by not only evolving the golfer’s game but by constantly improving as an academy. Facilities are a key focus area, and our aim is to create a space where we can bring together the best team of coaches, offering a holistic approach with experts specialising in every aspect of the game.

Driving Range Planning

It’s been a hard-fought battle with the planning authority, but we are finally at a stage where construction on the driving range can begin. The range will feature six undercover bays, three outdoor hitting areas, a Trackman Range Bay, and a designated grass area. Our mission is to create not just a beautiful space to practise but an environment where serious golfers can hone their skills.

Work is in full swing, with groundworks near completion and ready for the concrete to be poured! Once that’s done, the fun begins—assembling each spacious 3-metre bay, complete with interior fittings designed to create an inviting space that encourages frequent visits and practice.

GROWING THE SERVICES

Trackman
In 2024, we introduced Trackman to our coaching sessions, simulator hire, and driving range hire. It’s hard to imagine how we ever operated without it! Trackman has allowed us to offer elite services across the board, from simplifying diagnostics in coaching to offering a realistic simulator experience on some of the world’s most iconic courses. Clients can also use Trackman data to enhance their driving range sessions and take their improvement to the next level.

Junior Coaching
Our junior section has gone from strength to strength in 2024, with consistent Saturday coaching and an incredible turnout each week. We welcomed PGA Professional Scott Hassall, who specialises in teaching grassroots juniors. His passion shines through, creating a fun and engaging environment that keeps every junior motivated and excited to learn.

Ladies Academy
The Ladies Academy continues to grow, providing an encouraging space for women to develop their game while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow golfers.

2025 MISSION

Driving Range

With the driving range set to open for the 2025 golf season, it promises to be a significant year. We’re ready to welcome an increase in footfall and not only provide top-notch facilities but also a team of dedicated coaches to help every golfer who walks through our doors to improve their game.

SWINGFIT

We’re excited to launch SWINGFIT, a fitness programme that links swing characteristics with physical movement. Through this initiative, we’ll assign you a fitness professional who can identify and address the root causes behind your swing patterns, helping you unlock your full potential.

Participation Academy

We’re proud to partner with the Derbyshire Golf Union to offer a unique pathway into golf through our Participation Academy. This initiative is designed for grassroots golfers starting their journey with our GET INTO GOLF course. This programme introduces the fundamentals of the game, helping participants discover if golf is the sport for them. Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be welcomed into the academy community, where you’ll have access to weekly practice sessions guided by our team of coaches and fellow academy members.
